“. . .he was really gonna think I lost my dang mind!”

Prayers went up as I asked God to bless me with my next purpose. When I prayed this prayer after having our first daughter, he blessed me with a camera, a new passion and that turned into a business! It happened fast then and it happened that fast this time around too! While folding laundry, God revealed to me that I was to write a book about my postpartum depression journey. Without hesitation, I grabbed a pen and my notebook, the words, excerpts, chapter titles and even the layout to the book unfolded in a matter of minutes!

I was reluctant to tell my husband. . .I didn’t want him to think I was crazy even though I was completely embracing it and had already started writing. I asked him to have a seat in my office and poured it all out to him. I could tell he didn’t quite know how to take this but he was supportive. About a month into writing my book, I got this idea to write a gratitude journal because, well, I needed one! So, I made one and have been using it ever since! NEXT, came the cookbook and this is were I thought he was really gonna think I lost my dang mind!!

It all got started because as a mother-preneur, I needed to surround myself with a tribe that GOT me!

I came to my husband yet again to tell him. . .”I am now writing a cookbook and I’ve been afraid to tell you because I didn’t want you to think I was crazy and I already have three recipes photographed, written down and a book started!!” It pretty much all came out in one sentence! His response really put me in my place and reminded me why I love this man so much, “Holly, how can I help you get this done if you don’t tell me about these things! Let’s set a date and get it done!!” The cookbook was completed in 2.5 months!

I gave him a big hug and cried my eyes out!

Once I started telling ladies about my cookbook, they started selling like crazy! But even more exciting, I started meeting more and more mother-preneurs that NEEDED my cookbook! The more I got to know these ladies, I realized we all had the same thing in common. . .We needed a tribe to belong to!

I created a Facebook group for Holy Mother-preneur and it grew by the hundreds.

God knows what we need and when we need it! It’s up to us to ask Him and faithfully follow the path He clears before us!
